De afgelopen paar maanden heb ik regelmatig leuke plaates en jokes ontvangen en deze naar wat van mijn vrienden gestuurd waarvan ik dacht dat ze dezelfde humor bezaten als ikzelf en dit wel konden waarderen.

Jammer genoeg schijnt het dat ik een aantal mensen tegen de schenen heb geschopt met deze mails en noemden ze me een sexist en oppervlakkig.

Vandaar dat ik vanaf heden alleen nog maar plaatjes stuur van oude monumenten, de naatuur en andere kunstzinnige dingen welke leerzaam zijn.

De Europese Commissie (EC) is echt niet saai. Het hoogste EU-orgaan manifesteert zich tegenwoordig zelfs op de hippe filmpjeswebsite YouTube. Of de politiek correcte boodschap over belangrijke kwesties zoals klimaatverandering en mensenrechten overkomt is zeer de vraag, maar één ding is duidelijk: seks scoort. Zelfs als de verspreider de EC is.

Goedkoop en ordinair, oordeelt de Britse politicus Godfrey Bloom. De seksclip van 44 seconden is volgens hem te omschrijven als ’soft porno’ en verkwisting van belastinggeld. De EC is volgens Bloom net een ouder familielid dat wanhopig poogt om cool te zijn: erg gênant dus.

EC-woordvoerder Martin Selmayr herinnerde er dinsdag aan dat de beelden afkomstig zijn uit alom geprezen films zoals Amelie en Bad Education. Het filmpje toont volgens hem de rijkdom van de Europese cinema. Klachten over het seksfilmpje heeft hij niet gekregen, zei Selmayr dinsdag. Het filmpje werd in februari gepresenteerd en is sindsdien te bekijken op de website van de EC en op YouTube.
